Is there anything more fun than listening to E Skip? Or staying up
all night logging long haul tropo,
or
going to bed at 4am and getting up for work at 8?
This is me
I grew up in Middletown, CT and began my DX career on the AM band, switching to FM later on when I discovered a brand new way to listen to my favorite music, Top 40 rock. I started on a Zenith table radio, of all things, with an "s" type folded dipole on the roof. I did well with it.
I've been DXing the FM and TV bands since the late 1960s and the WTFDA has also been my club of choice since then. Back in the late 90s I began doing the the club's mail and the membership. Later on I became one of the board of directors and then, in 2001, publisher of the VHF-UHF Digest. I continue with that position today (2011). I have also been publishing their monthly bulletin, the VHF-UHF Digest, since September, 2001. Recently we have transitioned the VUD from a paper publication to a pdf e-zine.
